I think it's fair to say that Guilford's image in many communities is not the best. Supporting railtrails/recreation would seem to be a way of improving that image. And since railtrails are used by people of different interests and backgrounds depending on the season, the company would cultivate more than just one constituency. The investment would be small, the positive public relations benefit large. Think about it.
