*** The Nominal Capacity is the lading weight that can be safely loaded into the railcar. Pan Am Railways has a total-weight-on-rail maximum of 263,000 pounds. The total-weight-on-rail is calculated by adding the tare weight to the lading weight. Regardless of the nominal capacity, the total-weight-on-rail must not exceed 263,000 pounds.

As of March 1, 2009 Pan Am Railways moved it's systems to RMI. If you would like to track cars through RMI please contact Jill Breen at jbreen@panamrailways.com.
