A TIME...
1996 was another successful year for the Lowell Sun Santa Fund can drive. Guilford employees have been piling their cans up to the tune of $94.00 in 1994, $171.45 in 1995 to a total of $350.00 raised in 1996! Led by the Signal Department’s Bill LaMontagne, Guilford Rail helped turn 7,000 aluminum cans into toys for needy children.
“The response we’ve had for this has just been great,” said LaMontagne. “People are starting to bring cans in from home. No one asks them to, they just see an easy way to help a child.”
If you would like to donate your cans either drop them off at Bill’s office or call him at extension 1119 to arrange for pick up.
