Pan Am Services Opens Pease FBO
Acquired earlier this year and relocated from California to the Pease International Tradeport, American CASA/National Air has opened for business as Pan Am Services, a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) and provider of repair, fueling and ancillary service to corporate, commercial, private and military aircraft. Pan Am Services had originally planned to be up and running later this summer, but the opportunity to advance that schedule through the acquisition of existing on-site hangar/office facilities and ground handling equipment gave General Manager Gordon Long the ability to accelerate the opening to the beginning of May.

The blue and white Pan Am Services hangar has 20,000 square feet of space available for aircraft parking, and is currently home to several corporate jets. Other corporate and private aircraft are housed in an adjacent 28,000 square foot former military hangar or under several open-end arch hangars. The primary function of an FBO, however, is the fueling and support of aircraft. In order to accomplish this task efficiently, the company has acquired a fleet of fueling trucks capable of servicing everything from a two seat Piper Cub to a Boeing 747, as well as all kinds of military aircraft. The availability of the new Pan Am fuel farm enables Pan Am Services to provide fuel at prices which are among the lowest in New England. This has already attracted a substantial volume of new business.

Long and his team of experienced and service-oriented employees will go to great lengths to take care of their customers. Recently, the crew from a corporate aircraft asked us where they could get their dishes washed, Long recounted. We took care of it for them ourselves, and gave that customer a quality experience. Whether its a ride into Portsmouth, a delivery of lobsters for the flight home, or just a good deal on fuel for an airplane, the Pan Am Services crew is ready, willing and able to make it happen.
