We all regard SAFETY as the most important aspect of our work as employees of Guilford Rail System. There is much ongoing effort to keep the focus on safety, no matter what the duties of an employee might be. The overall performance seems consistently to support the program of perpetual vigilance, continuing education and a foundation of sensible and time-tested safety rules, to which each of our employees subscribes.

Many of our long term employees have worked safely for many years. We desire to show our appreciation by listing those people who have worked for at least 30 years without a reportable accident. There is much to be said about this kind of record, yet the same things apply to each day in the workplace: there is no advantage to letting one’s guard down and getting hurt, and we all benefit when the day is worked in safety.
